Amaterasu (Okami) Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series

https://mega.nz/file/IkBj1KhZ#5T5WVpRahuGqOszR4yFvYfr50lOpwptKDKz4dojX6ZE

NOTE: Anything that isn't 3D belongs to shunao.  https://www.shunao.moe/   https://twitter.com/_shunao   https://ko-fi.com/shunao   https://shunao.tumblr.com/  (Can be found here!) If you've actually seen my art, it's readily obvious that the second picture isn't mine.

Ah, the Okami Trilogy. Yes you heard that right and no I'm not including Okamiden. If you don't know what the heck an Okami is, well it's an action adventure RPG... Okay that doesn't actually explain much either. Okami is kind of like Legend of Zelda where you go around exploring, beating up baddies while trying to scrounge for treasure that'll not only grant you new combat capabilities, but generally is what you need to proceed forward. Except you don't play as a twink elf who swings a sword but rather as a white wolf with a magical paint brush that bashes her foes to death with a mirror and then pisses (With an upgrade, shits out explosives.) on them for extra goodies. I am not making that up.  An actual wolf, btw, the four legged kind, not a gal with wolf ears n' tail. I'll explain that later.

Okami feels like you're playing Okami 1, Okami 2, and then Okami 3 with an extended epilogue that leads into the Golden Ending. Why's that you ask? Well, the game presents you with the main bad guy and spends a bunch of time building them up. You beat 'em up, only for the game to introduce another bigger badder guy who's the true villain. They get their ass kicked, but the game goes "Nah nah nah, that guy was nobody, THIS is the real villain!" One more can of whoop ass later, the "True" final boss is defeated...only for some guy to come crashing through a window declaring themselves as the actual guy behind everything.

I mean, there's more to it then just that, but man can it get a wee bit tiring at times. I think the game is okay? The artstyle's pretty no doubt about that and the gameplay, while fun, is rather too easy. The story is pretty one note most of the time with some quirks here n' there but otherwise, if you played through Okami 1, you'll know how the rest of the trilogy will go with some minor variations here n' there.

Okay, that's enough about the actual game itself, what's the deal with Dante and why is Amaterasu a tiny wolf girl? Well Dante and Amaterasu debuted for the first time ever in MvC3 and apparently they paired well together. Not in the romantic sense, but something about them being effective partners gameplay wise. Iunno, I can regurgitate a lot of fighting game terms but I haven't got a clue what any of it actually means. They cover for their weaknesses or whatever. Anyways, because of that, some folks decided to pair them up. After all, Amaterasu just chose the form of a wolf because...well actually I don't know why she picked a wolf. Anyways, certain folks in that game can ascertain her true form as a beautiful maiden so the non furry crowd took that and ran with it I suppose.

This all leads into the creation of a tumblr blog called "Ask Dante X Ammy" where you ask questions and you get a little sketch that answers it. It's pretty cute but that's not how I found out about it. I remember seeing this particular Amaterasu in this picture where Dante and Ammy are out on a date eating pizza together. Dante, being Dante, is seen double fisting pizzas into his mouth and appears to be creaming into his pants. Ammy looks a wee bit shocked but more amused than anything else. Heck, she might even be happy with the fact that her date also wolfs down their food.

They ended up deleting/shutting down their blog due to folks reposting their stuff elsewhere and claiming it as there's. They have since moved on to Twitter which is a shame as I quite enjoy their artstyle. They do sell their artwork online and I managed to snag some of their keychains at a convention. I didn't even realize it was them until months later which was also the time I found out that they revived the blog, kind of. Hard to get reception from beneath this rock so my info isn't the most accurate.

Anyways, if you're into Devil May Cry, I highly recommend getting their DMC charm set. They're double sided, so on one side, you have their regular form, but on the other it's their Devil Trigger. That's rad! Oddly enough, unless I'm blind and considering how many times I walked right past an enemy tank only to be confused as to how I managed to get shot from behind, it's possible that they don't actually have any charms based off of their Amaterasu. Again, terrible eye sight so who knows maybe they do.

Speaking of the titular character, there was gonna be a lot more outfits based off the cast of Okami, but since it takes place in Ancient Japan, well I got rather tired after the third fucking kimono/hakata/whatever the fuck you know what I'm talking about. So, I based some of the outfits based on Shunao's interpretation of the character.

Her In School outfit is apparently her combat outfit.

The Going Home outfit is based off of Issun, Amaterasu's traveling companion who basically speaks for her as she's a wolf. Generally speaking, wolves cannot talk. They also cannot chew so do not offer them potatoes. That hat required some fiddling to do but I managed to hack it together.

Her Gym outfit is based off of Dante. There's no actual Rebellion sword in game and I'm too lazy to make one so here's a sword with a skull on it.

Her Swimsuit is based off of Sakuya, the peach tree/nature spirit who resembles the fruit in 2 big ways. She's constantly surrounded by that Sexy no Jitsu fog/Buy the Blu-Ray You Cheap Fuck (TM) steam.

Her Club outfit is based off of Ninetails, basically the Vergil of her game. (Similar weapon, abilities, moveset, is a fox.) Well, Spoilers, her/his? Rao disguise. The busty shrine maiden who they murdered which I think is only implied if you don't find her skeleton. Ammy and Issun don't figure it out because they're both too distracted by her bust. Yes that's actually why they get duped.

Her Casual outfit is based off this one pic where she and Dante play a claw game together.

...

Okay look, I didn't want to do Waka's stupid headdress thing. Damn those Yevonites.

Her Sleeping Over outfit is based off of her time skip version which I guess is based on how much time past in between DMC 4 and V. Unfortunately, you can't change bodies based on outfits so she looks a wee bit jarring as her hair makes her look as the game would put it, "Mother to us all." or as the shitlords at Castle Superbeast would say "MMMMMOTHHERRR to us all." (Seriously that joke was rather weak to begin but then they piledrived it into the ground.) But her face stills looks as adorable as usual so there's bit of a disconnect there.

This is  the part where I mention which cards I based this off of, but the thing is I did use one Amaterasu as a base, if only for the overlay, but then just made a different one myself as that one proved unsuitable.

Then there's this card which initially I didn't adjust the hair all too much of, but then altered it significantly to the point I'd say it's more of a reference than an actual edit. Just thought I'd bring this up to make a point about how when you're making a card, use whatever you can get your hands on. Even if it's something that's not within your ballpark doesn't mean it can't be useful/recycled for something else.

Anyways, that's all for now. Ciao!

The Dante you see isn't mine, but the outfit is. The original creator goes by the name of mytasteistrash.

Oh she's wearing spats. That is her underwear unless she's wearing the long brown pants with the belt which shouldn't be happening. What do you mean the top isn't showing up? Are you missing a mod by any chance? You should use HF patch if that's the case.

The key is at the top.

The top for her club outfit isn't showing up, also are the pants for the gym outfit not supposed to disappear when you choose either underwear or naked?
