0.4 Release Part 1 Devlog

Big guy RNGR coming to you yet once again to deliver another Friday report and guys we have some news.

My plans initially were to release a pretty huge update this time around, but that wasn’t feasible for a couple of reasons: 

1.- For this big encounter in the gym with multiple characters and multiple objects (the machines, weights, etc) that much geometry and vertices put a massive burden on my GPU, skyrocketing the render times, and that will slow down heavily the update schedule, to be frank with you I knew this was going to happened at some point or another, hence why you see other devs that usually go with really small locations, but I’m just so tired of seeing the same cubicle they use as a “gym” and decided to make one that kinda mimics a real-life one, taking in its drawbacks obviously.

2.- I feel like I made some decent improvements on the UI with being able to name your saves, etc that is currently not present in the public build that I wanted out asap, more importantly in a branching scene (when you met Karla) I did a typo in a variable, that currently breaks further saves and postponing that until later feels a lil bit cancer.

So, I thought to myself, rather than making you guys wait even longer, ill release what I already have, so you guys can play something while I find the best way to minmax and to work around this decently big scene if you feel like the content is too little for the update, I’m sorry, you can choose to wait till I’m done with the second part though. 

And with that here’s the changelog for the first part of the update:

Changelog 0.4.0 Part 1

• Around 200 renders.
• 1440 Lines of code.
• 3311 Words.
• You can now, name and delete safe files.
• 3 new songs, 8 sound effects.
• Fixed a typo in a branching variable, please reload when you met Karla.
• Minor UI changes (Title and SS icon)

By the way, I went and bought some songs that I think fit the scenes really well and some are present in this update so please let me know if you like them.

As soon as it's done uploading the beta on mega, ill make the post available to built dif and big bro tiers.

Once my proofreader is done reading the script and I feel like is good to go it leaves beta and goes live to Sick kunts and Built dif tiers are usual.
