Today, I'd like to share a slightly longer story...
A version of the Hans Christian Andersen classic, The Ugly Duckling. 🦆
I always remember feeling bad for the little ducky. Poor thing just wanted to fit in somewhere, but the world is full of big fat meanies.
Moral of the story... meanies are the true uglies. Don't be a meanie. >:(
Also, I thought I'd include some illustrations from the original publishing. I'm going to assume you all know the tale and the ending. But if you don't, then the last image is a spoiler.

This why is so important to find your own lämp. When nobody can love you, not even you yourself, and especially at your lowest, then it’s all over lol bullies know what they do…it’s to distract their mind from lookin in the mirror and acknowledging what they see: the fact that their entire existence is not even closely to „perfect“ or „acceptable“ in their own image. A made-up image how the world is supposed to be and one they refuse to put down. In short: they are cowards that are afraid of self-reflection and themselves. They know they are inferior beings and need to distract from this by making someone feel inferior to them. Society just needs to learn to hold them harshly accountable and the world is gonna be a much nicer place lol 👍 Also, more storytime please:D

The special effects in the audio was a nice touch too. We know The Ugly Duckling as “El Patito Feo” :P I remember to like the story and the moral it tried to teach, but there was always a cynic part of me that thought: “Yep, but you are not a swan, so no miraculous change to beautiful bird” XD The funny thing is that at some point in life it really happened a big change in my life, but I don’t know if I learned the same moral in this case. Seeing by yourself how people treat you totally different due your appearance can add a few levels of cynic to your back, for sure :P Thank you again for sharing the story and the original art too. I hope you had a nice weekend and the next week will be amazing for you. Take care. PS. This last week here has been pretty crazy due a volcano and all the news about that. Luckily, everything is Ok here, but I guess it makes you think that it can happen to you in any moment. And you can't help to think about priorities and that kind of things.
