Fortnightly Progress - 2nd March
Added 2023-03-02 10:05:26 +0000 UTCFinallly had that eyes appointment at the hospital. Didn't go as well as I'd hoped, as I'd really wanted to hear they were entirely better. They have at least improved enough that I can occasionally wear contact lenses again which is so much better than being stuck wearing glasses. Seeing them now in June so ideally I'll get the all clear then.
- No Haven
Public release is going to be Saturday unless something really critical falls over between now and then.
Started work on the next update which this week has mainly been talking to patrons who are getting content for them. That's pretty much been all worked out, and I've started the writing stage.
Speaking of writing one thing I did do when my eyes were at their worst was writing pretty much all of the mermaid assignment. That was a case of where I absolutely loved the concept of a mermaid coming up onto the land under her own power but no clue whatsoever how that would translate into an actual assignment. So very glad I was at least able to work out a way to do that during that rubbish time. Ended up being a lot weirder than I thought it would be, and yes what I wrote is only just readable to me now as pretty much every word is typo'd given the whole lack of vision thing.
That one with the trollop and lago'mae going at it was a similar issue where it was a funny/lewd visual, but didn't really know where to go with it from there. Managed to make a start this week by coming up with an intro I was happy with to setup the surrounding complications. Just got to work out the results now.
Direction polling is still going:

Looks like it's going to be more conversion work which makes for a lovely segway into...
- The No Haven Conversion / Picarto Streams
Right my plan is to basically dedicate all of tomorrow to pinning down that dang, and oh so annoyingly random, quick start bug I mentioned in previous ones of these. If that gets sorted, like I very much hope it will be, then back to streaming as usual from Monday.
- Commissions
January+February - They Choose You : This has properly hit 'oh dear' territory. To gloss over a whole bunch of private communication either I'm getting progress soon or this is getting a new artist. Really not been ideal.
May+June - Laughing Trickster Priestess : Progress! Most excellent progress even. Seen a sketch, then finalised lines, and she's looking amazing. Just spot on character that I was hoping she would have. This should be done now in a couple of weeks.
July+August - Dominance Training : This one has rather stalled again. Some refinement of the colours stage on the first part and that's about it.
September+October - The Shorty Set (Desert Neko) : Got an artist confirmed and seen some sketches. Artist came up with a really great improvement to the original concept, and it's a lot more dynamic now. Really pleased with how this is going.
September+October - The Shorty Set (Kobold) : Had a couple of artists turn this one down now. I may have to wait for one of the other pieces to be done by one of the other artists, and then pitch the kobolds to them.
November - Lich : At last managed to get a response to this one and sent the full pitch yesterday.
For the combined up to February polling...

Well that complicates things. So the plan was to get the first and second place done, and whatever was in third place would get the Alternate pick done. What I didn't expect was to have two in second place.
So what I'm going to do is a poll on the discord to work out the true second place. That mean either it'll be getting Ambush Returning Soldiers + Wind Swept and also Bansheer as the Alternate pick, or getting Disbanded! + Unattended + Banshee and then also Wind Swept as the Alternate.
Back to regular schedule with the new Alternate commission poll going up on Monday.
- HMV
Been awhile I know!
Here's the text of the post I made about it:
No your eyes do not decieve you. I've actually finally finished another HMV.
This was a commission like the Ass Up one from all the way back in the May of 2019, and the guy who funded it showed incredible patience given I've been working on this on, and mostly off, for about a year. They were very understanding that the game development side of things came first for me, and this was something I'd every so often do in time where I'd normally otherwise be chilling out. Thankfully video editing can be chill for me so that can still work out nicely.
I think my biggest thing I messed up in not having done one of these in so long is that I sorted, and collated waaaaaay too much source material. I probably could do maybe 2-3 more in a Blondes series just from all that footage if I wanted now.
I don't think there was a lot of point to the old tier where I said you'd get early drafts. I mean I don't see any value in giving you a worse version. Surely you should get the best version if you're supporting me right? So from now on any HMVs I make you'll get at a full week before any public release, and at much higher bitrate version than the one that goes up on my iwara
I've now updated the wording of the HMV tier to reflect this change:
'For those that would like to see more HMVs from me. You will receive first notification of any game updates that are released, and also get early access to any HMVs that I make in the highest quality available.'
Hope you like it!
That'll be out publically on Sunday, and I'll make a post about it on the Twitter and Tumblr to let you know when that's up.
As always I hope that was worth the read, and thank you so, so much for your patience and support!

Thanks for saying that. Most appreciated!
