Discord Assignment the 4th - Week 2
Added 2021-10-12 18:51:35 +0000 UTCAgain handing over to the lovely pair of patrons running this thing, enjoy!
After an impressively tense week of voting we have our winners for the two polls - in fact, we may have more winners than initially expected! For the area poll, the Ever Forest took the crown with a very comfortable lead, so whatever this assignment is going to be will have to take place in our favourite copse. As for the theme poll, that’s a slightly longer story.
The first poll ended up in a tie between the Spooky and Sleepy themes, so to break the deadlock we organised a second, one-day poll on the discord.
...This second poll also tied, six to six!
It seems clear to us now that the people want Spooks and Sleep, so we have decided both of these themes have won. So, what does this mean for the event going forward? Allow us to explain: for the next two weeks we will be accepting prompts (currently up to a maximum of two per person), which are going to be ideas for assignments featuring both Sleep and Spookiness as themes to at least a vague extent, taking place in the Ever Forest. The themes do not have to be the solo focus of the prompts - it’s enough if there’s just a tangential tie to the concepts in your prompt!
We do have a few general house rules that we would ask for people to keep in the back of their minds for this. Firstly, we ask that you keep the prompts somewhat open-ended, as the intent is for the entire community to shape the winning prompts in the later stages of the event. Details like assignment types, rewards, the exact events and such are best left vague for now! Secondly, try to keep the initial prompt as just that, a prompt. The longer they are, the more we limit the next stage, so keep them nice and short. Thirdly, please keep in mind that not every type of content is suited for No Haven. If it’s already in-game it’s probably fine to include in your prompts, but if it isn’t, please don’t hesitate to ask Bedlam. He reserves the right to veto any prompts that really wouldn’t fit. Lastly, please keep the scope of your prompts in mind somewhat! I’ve only budgeted for a “standard” assignment, and while there might be some flexibility on that front it still wouldn’t be feasible to have epic assignment chains be the result of this event!
Hopefully this answers any questions people have, but if not - ask in the discord, where you can find the organisers, Bedlam and many more! We sincerely hope you all will enjoy this stage, and we can’t wait to see what creativity you all can bring to the stage here - remember, everyone is welcome to join in!
So yeah what they said. If you want to feel free to pm me your prompt either here or on the discord and I'll make sure they get included to be taken into consideration.
