Fortnightly Progress - 16th May

Right so maybe this new polling idea might have worked out better if the option of a asanei maid didn't lead to such an insane landslide on all three of the polls :D

For those who aren't currently patrons and as you wouldn't have seen any of those posts and so have no idea what I'm talking about. Basic upshot of it is the following: 

I'm going to be running extra polls at the $10 and $25 tiers. You get one chance to vote per poll, for however many options you like, same as usual, but with the extra polls you can effectively vote for your favourite options up to three times depending on the level of your pledge. Note that all votes are equal, so a vote on the base tier counts as much as one on the $25 tier in the final tally. 

For Direction Polling this will work the same way with the main poll as per usual and then another one for those on the $25 and above tiers. 

As I mentioned on the other post I may change or just go back to the old system, but no one seems to have minded it so far, and some people seem to like it so tentative yay? 

• No Haven

Getting right into the important news is assuming no entirely unseen disasters kicking off is that I'll be releasing a very rough initial version of the update on the discord tomorrow. I still have a patron requested mechanic to finish, but seems like a good idea while I'm doing that to get a head start on some of the more flagrant issues. 

After that I'm going to release the patreon release sometime over the weekend. Public will be a couple of days after that depending on how that release goes. 

Mentioned last time round that I was working on the slave release assignment which if you go yourself would be 'pretty indepth'. After finishing it that turned out was one hell of an understatement. 

Every option you can choose along the way has a crit/succ/fail/disaster outcome making each one effectively a mini assignment in their own right, and there's ten of these altogether along with the normal one where you send others version. What I've decided to do going forward as a thing on other assignments, and what I've done for most of these outcomes is add little varied vignettes with a common, uncommon, and rare version where you'll be coming across many different races getting up to all sorts of different stuff to make the world seem bigger and more alive. This also includes a few nods to planned races for later along with hints towards some of the world details yet to be revealed.

My current plan is to also put up the next Direction Polling post tomorrow after I've got the initial update to those on the Discord.  

• Commissions

New polls are up and I can't remember the last time we've seen such a land slide. It's going to take a huge amount of votes for that poor savage orc lass to even have a go at making it back into contention. 

Scout the Ever Forest and the Lago'Mae Biomancer of the Ensnared Rose won't be started until June so no news yet on that front as expected. 

Other than that got the one bonus commission outstanding I arranged off my own back. That's making progress and I think it's looking promising. Do like what Eladaer has done already with the lighting even at this early stage.

For those who haven't seen the new one yet you can see links to watch or download it on my twitter. Seems like it has been going over reasonably well so that's good to see.  

• Picarto

All of these will be at the usual time of 22:30 BST outside of the odd occasional one where I need to catch up and so start an hour earlier. 

One exception will be this Saturday on the 18th what with it being Eurovision. Will be aiming roughly around 23:30 BST on when it ends, and I should be a lot more entertaining for the stream giving the number of drinks it usually takes me to get through the contest.
