Fortnightly Progress - 18th May

Been two weeks so time for another one of these. First the big news I will be abroad from Wednesday 24th May to the following Wednesday on the 31st.  The place I'm going alas does not even have wi-fi so while I'll try and keep an eye on things it'll be mainly via my phone relying on bars and cafes and the like.

Well aware this is not in anyway good timing, but it's my one chance to get of the country this year so yeah, I hope that's understandable.  

• No Haven

So as you can probably guess did not make my self-imposed deadline so as I really, REALLY want to get this out, and in time to be able to hotfix it before I'm away, this is now a rolling deadline with a new due date of Saturday in two days time. If it's not out on Saturday it will then have to be out on Monday.

Main huge culprit was what I'm doing with Fulfil Opportunities. The plan always was that there would be some new versions of the City Listening to Whispers/Dance the Night Away ones unfortunately when I got to it... oh wow, it was a mess. Even for me it was really bad as normally even when stuff hasn't been done in the best way I can at least usually wrap my head round it. With this, not so much. 

That resulted in biting the bullet and near completely reworking it which with expanding and rebalancing has swallowed up most of last week and I finally only put it to bed today. 

After that there's not much left to do thankfully in finishing off those new assignments, but the main big thing then is testing, lots and lots of testing so you'll be seeing that starting from the Friday night stream. 

• Commissions

Barges is pretty much done. I've now seen the colours on both parts, and had one major problem fixed with them. There's now just two things I need an answer on and/or a fix and you can finally get your eyes on it.  Really hope it was worth the wait. 

No progress yet on the  Dragonmaid one but then I wasn't expecting any. Artist said he'd start work in June sometime so just a case of waiting on that one for now. 

By the way I've started sourcing ideas for later commissions on the discord so if you want to give input before hand that where you'll need to be. New poll will be up sometime in the first week of June. 

• Whorelock's Revenge

Honestly had my head down trying to get the No Haven update out to spend anytime on this. However as mentioned I will be away for a week with no net access and just my laptop which while I will obviously be doing holiday things I will also have a crack at getting some Whorelock's conversion done while I'm away. If not I'll see if I can get some done along with maybe a stream even when I get back. 

•  HMVs

I really didn't expect to be doing another one of these and especially so soon but a week last Tuesday the idea of doing a HMV for Eurovision tickled me so hard that this just had to be made into a thing.

The reception has gone insanely well, far beyond my expectations and of the last couple of notes it's now  the second most popular post I've ever made on there.

•  Picarto

And like last time, which turned out to be mostly accurate, some predictions of upcoming streams till the next fortnightly progress. These are not set in stone so keep an eye on the tumblr announcements or just follow me on Picarto for notifications if you're interested in catching them. Time especially will usually be the time listed or up to an hour later. Also listed is the likelihood the stream will happen on that date outside of unforeseeable circumstances.

Due to my being away there will likely not be any streams next week at all. I'll have a go at making up the hours sometime maybe and if you were nice enough to count last week I'm 1.5 hours up already.

• The Tumblr

If you know a better theme I'd love to hear it as I'm still getting the odd complaint on that front since the change. Due to finding out the deeply annoying news about how Tumblr handles external links you'll find there's now a bunch of new headers with a link to my picarto, a collection of the picarto vods, and a list of links to the completed commissions.
