DNC '24: The Spectacle So Uninspiring Even Protesters Forgot To Care

As promised, Jamie and Sam dive back into DNC '24 in all its splendor. Is AOC actually just a revolutionary communist sleeper cell waiting to take the throne before returning to her leftist roots? Is Obama still the smoothest talker around? Why did virtually no militants show up to throw down? And which of Jeffrey Epstein's besties took the stage at the Democrats' flagship event? Find out all of this and more on this week's episode of Party Girls.

I have to apologize, but that piece you read from is so dumb!! I can't imagine confusing the built environment (be it a government building or a power cable) for the source of power within a capitalist society! Obviously power comes from the workers who make all that shit! Come on!!!

Kinda silly to say that power resides in built infrastructure and imply that acts of sabotage are productive in creating proletarian liberation. Power is in the hands of the workers who create everything. Power is in the workplace. Propaganda of the deed and sabotage will only produce further repression, especially if they're not buttressed by a proletarian movement which can take control of the means of production. The workers who produce the means of production, of reproducing human life every day, are the source of all power. Destroying or sabotaging the means of production without clearly articulating a proletarian vision will be viewed rightly by the unpoliticized masses as attacks on our means of life/ daily reproduction. Seems to me a communist vision that could work would emphasize seizing the means of production constructively for the people rather than destroying the world we build. If I was a worker in France and you fucked up the railroad so I couldn't get to work to pay my bills I'd probably hate you. Idk that invisible committee piece sounds like it was written by a fuckin intelligence agent trying to breed an ineffective and unpopular left movement to justify further entrenching bourgeois state power.

I thought Ilhan Omar's outdoor speech was before AOC's DNC speech? Also, not to cape up for AOC, but is there a review of her body of work? Both in the house and in her district? I'm never sure how much credit to give to speeches. I'm also not sure that her DNC speech marked an official shift from dem soc to lib in some sort of "fait accompli" way. Or I'm just dumb and missing something obvious.
