from what i hear fentanyl is great as an anesthetic for surgery. it can be combined with propofol to act as a sedative that is less invasive than the propofol alone. it acts quickly and leaves the body quickly. this is one of the characteristics that make it terrible as a street drug. even if you don't overdose you're going to need it much more frequently than heroin, for example. it also just knocks you out. there's no real pleasure. it's just dissociative. what i haven't heard much about is heroin cut with benzos. a friend of mine detoxed a while back and had all the symptoms of benzo withdrawal or DTs. he ended up in the hospital with all kinds of terrible symptoms including brain swelling (encephalopathy) and palsy. he swore he was only doing dope so it took a while for the hospital staff to get an appropriate treatment plan. anymore i just stick to weed, alcohol, and on special occasions maybe some adhd meds or some tussin (lol whatever i'm a trash bag from michigan)
