I was reading through another project I started ages ago...
Added 2024-07-29 23:42:32 +0000 UTCI needed something to reset my mind after staring at Leas for too long. I've hit a point with one scene where I need "fresh eyes" on it to be able to tell if it's improved enough. So I took 10 minutes and read through a project I've tentatively named "Something Wild." I started it like... half a year ago, I think? And I think I'll be working on it for the next 20 years 😂 But I like this scene outline from it, and I thought I'd share it here for anyone interested in some bonus side-project content.

She looks at me expectantly.
1. I’m looking for the Devil.
2. I’m looking for something wild.
“Can’t help you,” she says flatly. “Now those teeth, on the other hand, I could do something about.”
1. What’s wrong with my teeth?
2. I don’t have that kind of money.
“That’s fine. Here, take my card. You never know when you’ll break a tooth on that midnight snack from the fridge. You’ll be glad to have someone to call then. Not like anyone else’ll care about your screaming.”
“You’re open at midnight?”
“No, but I make house calls, for the right payment.”
1. How much?
2. What’s the ‘right payment?’
3. Why are you so sure I’m going to have a dental accident?
“Pies, spare car parts, first-born chickens and sons...”
1. Are you serious?
2. Kind of sounds like you might be the devil I’m looking for.
“Mostly it’s chickens. I’ve got more eggs than I know what to do with. Just take the card.”
