Oh Sixteen was not that "brutal!" The life of an idol is tough and you need to get a tough skin with the criticisms you will go through as an idol. And I still have a bit of a problem with this VCHA complaint by KG. I want proof and I have yet to see it. People have become way too soft. Life is tough and you better be ready for what's to come. JYPE is probably still one of the better entertainment companies in regards to how it treats its groups.

2025-01-17 15:25:30 +0000 UTCIts funny you mention about the "child labor" comments about Jihyo's very early training, i agree that some people definitely take it to far but JYP definitely cultivate a culture that may not be 'evil' but they are so strict that maybe it can be hard on the trainees (i.e; VCHA situation) but funnily enough, i think Jihyo got the more lenient treatment from the company, since during her training period the company is so young, that they don't really have the culture of the current JYP. From the limited knowledge and videos we can see of her early training period, the vibes i get is that she was like in a special school where she learn performing arts and her friends are older brother and sisters that baby her. Now her training during her teenage years is something different (in the survival show SIXTEEN you can see the more 'evil' side of the Culture in JYP take shape and it is quite brutal.) So in conclusion i feel like if anything Jihyo's early trainee life (age 8-14) is more relaxed and not what people on the internet fear but her teenage years are what actually borders on the more 'abusive' practices by the company, which is sadly still inplay in the industry in general.
