The fact that it was caught so late in production, but not late enough to rectify means that their programmer they recently fired was doing a hell of a cover up job to keep it out from under their noses.

This is a situation a public apology on Social Media is needed. Simply to show the programmers of the VN from which assets got stolen from that you own up to your mistakes.
