30 Euros for a tour shirt of this kind of popular metal band is seldom these days. Even before Corona. 35 to 40€ is quite usual, if you ask me. Maiden in the early 2000s already wanted 50€. So a very fair price, considering that everything got more expensive these days.

it's true, I was thinking about it too, that people who travel for shows already spend some money on all of this... But that's out of our control (unless they can play in every city and every village =D ). The only thing is from what I learnt quite recently, that what you can buy in normal shops (if I get correctly what you mean - some sort of metal shops) is not official merch, thus money don't even go to the pocket of the band. It does contribute to band's promotion, of course, so I personally don't exclude those sources, but to me it was a revelation. There's the official online shop, but I absolutley hate the delivery used in it. Every time I ordered something, it was a mess. And it costs like one tshirt. I would want to have standard mail delivery option (or any alternative to whatever horrible service is used there, I think DHL). But, again, the shop is label's shop, not band's (if I get it right), so it doesn't depend on them whatsoever.

It is expensive, when you compare the stuff you can buy at merch stand to things you can buy in normal shops. I expect they set their prices in euros for Germany and just convert to other currency when needed, which makes this very very expensive in some countries and not everyone can afford it, especially when you already paid for ticket and transport and hotel etc. When I buy something at merch stand, I just tell myself it's support to the band I love and then it's easier to part with the money ; )
