Edited this page *slightly* due to some feedback I received from a friend. It wasn't obvious to her whether Mr. Thornton was entering the closet or just peeking inside... so I darkened the room to reinforce that the feeling that he is retreating into the closet (and pulling the door behind him). I think the confusion has to do with the direction he is facing but I felt like the darkening is enough to make it obvious anyways. Also, the halls received some extra detail (posters, papers on the ground etc) making the school feel a little more lived in.

Oh, and... not to give anything away, but this is likely the last time we'll see Mr. Thornton for a while. This scene is still important (hence giving it a full page), but for reasons that will become more apparent later on. Ya know, foreshadowing and all that... The gutters fading to black also helped me give this page the mysterious vibe that it needed and should transition nicely into the next page.
