What’s Happening (Please Read)

Starting in early August I am relaunching and converting this page into a per-monthly Patreon page centered around comics. That means instead of being charged per update you will only be charged once for the entire month (more on that below). The goals and rewards are changing as well. These changes are being made to better facilitate a workflow centered around comics so I can produce content on a more regular basis for you.

I’ve spoken with Patreon regarding how these changes will work.

1) The current reward tiers associated with this page will be deleted in August. After the reward tiers are deleted your pledge will remain intact at the level you’ve pledged, but you will be placed in a “no reward” tier.

2) New reward tiers will be created and I will be asking everyone to edit their pledge to one of the new tiers going forward. You may not have access to certain rewards until you edit your pledge.

So just to reiterate, until this moment this page has been “per update”, meaning that if I update three times a month you get charged three times the amount you pledged by the end of the month (excluding those of you with monthly caps). So a $2 pledge becomes $6 for most. A $10 pledge becomes $30 for most and so on… But after the changes are made you will only be charged ONCE per month.  

What this means essentially is that I'll be getting paid a lot less until I can get everyone on board to update their pledges. The new reward tiers will have better value at higher levels but they should still be equivalent to (or less expensive than) my per-update model ends up being by the end of the month for most of you. I’ll be creating some new goals so I can hopefully get back to a stable level quickly. I know we can do it, and I’m really excited about this change!  

I’ll be explaining the new rewards and goals in upcoming posts. You do not need to do anything yet. Notifications will go out after the changes are made next month and I’ll be prompting everyone to update their pledges at that time. This is just an early heads up to give everyone ample time to anticipate these changes and to answer any questions you might have.
