Doctor Who (Nu Who) 2x7 “Wish World” FULL REACTION

Don’t remind me of Bill, she was done so dirty at the end🥹 Also how cool that you saw the finale in the theater!

Yeah. There's genuinely not much to say about this episode. I don't think it's terrible but its purely set up for the finale and the finale episode will be dependant on how you feel about this two parter as a whole. I like the concepts of how expressing doubts is seen as forbidden and Conrad's world devolving back into outdated societal norms. The sexism, the homophobia and the controlling nature of people wanting to correct the way you say or do things was interesting. They definitely should have explored more of that in this episode. One of the most effective moments in this episode was Ibrahim's reaction to The Doctor calling him a beautiful man and reacting negatively. Even the whole scenario with the disabled people being shunned with Shirley showing Ruby the way they are perceived was interesting. Definitely should have done more with that. Interesting that there was no racism in Conrad's world. Belinda sadly got sidelined again which is annoying because they handled her so well in the for the first three episodes but ever since Lucky Day, she hasn't been given much to do. Cool to see Rogue again and I like the actress that plays The Rani. I've seen her in Classic Who and finished the whole series a while ago so I kinda have that benefit of knowing what she was like. Took me years to finish watching Classic Who lol. But yeah. Compared to last year's penultimate episode, I'd say Legend of Ruby Sunday was the better build up episode but I didn't hate anything about this. It was just pretty middling with exposition and not much happening. Weirdly this also reminds me of the Series 10 episode with Bill when the Monks took over the world and people got arrested for trying to tell the truth. I think it was more effective there though. This episode is like a weird mismash of Lie of The Land and The Wedding of River Song (which was also quite a messy episode). I just recently saw the season finale episode in cinemas so I'm kinda curious to see what you'll make of the finale cause oh boy I have so many thoughts and I know you're gonna have a lot to say about it lol. Patiently waiting for your reaction lol
