Jack sighed in resignation.

The blinds were drawn, the lights were out, the news was on. More mindless propaganda, more brainwashing. He closed that tab – 27 others remained open. Something started playing in one of the tabs.

Acetylcholine and Serotonin surged within. This was a problem he knew how to solve. Jack furiously clicked through the tabs, seeking out the offender. The window opened. It was a Disney movie playing on some pirate website.

It was one of the good ones. Jack stared at the screen. He watched. He slipped away and faded back in. Halfway through the movie, Jack realized something. Something…

Dramatic.

“This isn’t brainwashing me, it’s just throwing a set of ideas at me and letting me see how they may or may not work together. It’s not a prisoners meal, it’s a buffet. I can pick and choose which ideas I accept, thereby using this work of art instead of being manipulated by it. I am the master of my own destiny! I have dreams, and I’m going to pursue them!”

John shut off the PC and left his room, and was promptly infested and mind controlled by his recently converted roommates. Given the new name Jessica, she spent the next several weeks as a slaved-breeder for the rest of her household, pumping out parasitic spawn to infest the rest of the neighborhood. When the city was infested, she was taken to one of the skyscrapers, servicing hundreds of other horny mind-controlled humans and their sexual desires. Her mind, completely shattered, gulped down the sexual fluids of her former boss as she tried hard to remember a movie she once saw.
