It appears that the only way to progress beyond the bug is to start off. Do not infest yourself with anything more than what you start with. Just turn into an alien and then you can go get the items to do the captain right away. If you try to infest yourself further I think one of the processes breaks the progression so you can't infest their brains anymore. I also noticed that the starfish quickly grow you now and you become a girl in like 3 or 4 movements even with your latest update. The basic gist is you can infect everyone else once you get to the space station. Until then just keep the one werm inside you and do nothing else. I'm not sure which infestation causes it to break the ability to infest their brains though.

Honestly I couldn't even get to the space station part due to the game glitching up with the brain infestation. The only apparent method to create werms in others is to seed them and it basically makes the werms you carry around worthless. Plus it also seems to act like the choker parasite comes pre-loaded with a werm to infest your brain now. It was so buggy that I couldn't totally infest any of the three crew members this time around. The brain always remains uninfected and you don't have an option to change that. It also prevents you from moving to the next zone even when you get the captain. I didn't try the escape pod route due to the bugs with the main play route. I also noted that the following chapters were really broken now. Its kinda hard to playtest when so much is being stripped down and re-released in an incomplete state every few updates. The art may have improved but it might be better to get the game back into a playable state again without all the incomplete reworked features. I have also noted for some time that you can't infect the crew unless you pretty much turn into an alien yourself firstly. If you have the werms in you it doesn't let you avoid the game over unless you infect yourself enough to totally turn. Then things really get annoying because you have to masturbate every three moves.

She spots you immediately. You have no choice - you have to deal with her." message - You are able to come and go from the Barracks as you please, even with "A security guard is in this room.
