Harrowed Cellar - (FREE!)

This is a map that I am releasing alongside the Hag's Hut, Mushroom Cave, and Circus for an upcoming adventure I am writing.

CONTENT NOTE: This map deals specifically with nightmares that player characters might have. As such, some of the descriptions of the following locations may be triggering or upsetting. The topics presented include death, death of a child, loss, fear of animals, fear of objects, fear of fire.

The Harrowed Cellar has the following locations:

  1. Sleep - A skeleton lies on the bed as blood drips from a nearby weapon, reflecting the fear of what can happen as you sleep.
  2. Age - A skeleton sits clutching at the arm rests of its chair, reflecting the fear of dying of old age.
  3. Family - A large skeleton clutches a smaller one, reflecting the loss of a loved one.
  4. Vegetation - A pumpkin patch and scarecrow evokes the fear of nature's reclamation of land.
  5. The Harrowed Cellar - A wide open cellar floor contains a ritualistic circle.
  6. Spiders - A cocooned corpse and webbed island reflects arachnophobia.
  7. Birds - A murder of crows gathers, conveying the fear of birds.
  8. Buried Alive - A bound and wrapped body reflects the fear of being buried alive.
  9. Statues - Gargoyles and grotesques stare eerily, conveying the fear of statues.
  10. The Sea - Tentacles rise up from the void surrounding drenched items, conveying thalassophobia.
  11. Fire - Fire burns wildly in the space reflecting the pyrophobia.
