I've been listening to this show for a decade and this was one of the most disappointing episodes. I understand how frustrating the election has been but I have a few concerns. 1) Steve and Jay were talking about 3rd party voters being one of the reasons for the lost election. I understand that the live stream is not scripted like the show is but if you go and look at the voting counts, you can see that of every 3rd party vote was combined and added to Kamalas count it wouldn't have made a difference. 74 million votes for Trump in 2020 and 75 million votes in 2024. His voter base hasn't changed that much. Biden had 81 million in 2020, and kamala had around 70 million in 2024. 3rd party voters weren't the issue, voters staying home was. Democrats are completely to blame in this loss because 10 million less people showed up to vote. 2) Jay's 15 minute Fuck, Fuck, Fuck rant, while a valid emotional expression, was expressed in the worse medium when that medium was a skeptical live stream. He failed to apply The principle of Charity and made broad strokes about trump voters rather than remembering that each voter is nuanced and complicated. Voters didn't vote for Trump because he is a convicted felon, and sexual predator, they voted for him in spite of those factors because he offered them something that was important to them. I'm a single issue voter, climate change, and would have voted voted for Trump of he had a serious plan and support for tackling that threat. As it is, the Biden administration has drilled, pumped, and burned more fossil fuels than the Trump administration did, despite the inflation reduction act. I love you guys and will never walk away from you guys, just felt compelled to say that this episode was a big disappointment. Thanks, Kamala Voter.

Noah from Puzzle in a Thunderstorm had a similarly cathartic reaction and until now that heat has not been matched. I feel like my reaction to this reality is acceptable.. and I feel understood. If this isn't the time for yelling then yelling shouldn't exist. Thanks again.
