Re: Party. I have the same problem. Way too many people (so far, only republicans) can't think outside of the false binary. If you're not with them, you're a democrat (or whatever slur du jour they like to sling). Which reminds me of a joke: A life-long republican registered as a democrat. People were shocked. He had always voted the party line. Support the republican party and stood against the democrats in everything. Many questioned him. "You've been a diehard republican your entire life. What happened? Did you realize you had been wrong all along? What made you change your mind?" He said, "Well, I'm not long for this world and I figured it was better for one of them to die than one of us."
