Being stationed in the UK, using dates is fun. So, I have to pause and look to see if I'm dealing with US or UK documents. A long time ago, I starting dd Mmm YY, or YYYY-MMDD. But, yes. Cara is right. We go medium, small, large, while the British go small, medium, large. Even my daughter razzes me about the way the US writes the date. Then there are the memes that show up twelve days a year: "Today it 9/9/24. Event he Americans can't mess it up."

I thought the whole sugar makes kids hyperactive thing was a myth. Actually it is just the parents that think it’s makes them hyperactive, due to their own confirmation bias, and not a change to the kids behaviour.

Concentrated sugar and corn syrup solidified into a cone shape and colored yellow, orange and white. It's crafted to make children hyperactive.

Many people probably don't think of this, but the reason why many dogs get so excited on hearing the word "walk" (or whichever local equivalent is used), is, of course, that we (mostly inadvertently) teach them to associate the word with excitement. Me and my wife learned this from the breeder when we got our first dog, so we've always taken care to avoid creating this association, and it has worked nicely. With our current dog, a bit too nicely actually - it can be quite a challenge to get him to the door when it's time. :)
