‘Compound’ and ‘campus’ have the same root, but different connotations these days. There’s the FLDS-aligned Jeffs compound, or the compound in Waco TX in the early ‘90s, and many others. It just sounds like it’s based around a cult, whereas ‘campus’ sounds like it’s based around education.

I only started listening in 2012, but I listened to the entire backlog at the time until I caught up. Trivia: As I recall, the intro was originally recorded by Jay’s now ex, but afterward and currently it’s a recording of a guest you’ve had on a couple times: a British comic who goes by ‘Izzy’. It sounds a little weird to call a family property a “compound”. Maybe “campus” instead? Sorry I’m late in getting to this. These days I run a couple D&D campaigns, and I’ve been playing Baldur’s Gate 3. With many activities I can listen while doing something else, but if I’m writing or talking to BG3 characters, I can’t cross the streams linguistically.
