2023-05-19 16:57:54 +0000 UTCHindenburg disaster, the Hydrogen fire took place above the wreck of the airship. The fire on the ground was from fuel for the propellor engines. The issue was the skin which was doped fabric. The silver color of the Hindenburg is aluminium powder in the dope. In essence the entire skin of the Hindenburg had the same chemical composition as Solid Rocket Fuel.
