BIP - December

I've been hard at work on edits this month, but much of the work I've done has been "behind the scenes" so to speak—determining what exactly needs to be done and how I'm going to go about it. This, combined with the loss of data I experienced last week, means that what's new this month is... well, a character creator and a basic version of a revamped stats screen. Still, I hope what's there turns out to be something you all like. I tried to use the opportunity to make some character creation choice a bit more organic, and to give a slightly more solid backstory for the PC, as well as some insight into a few specific things about Demeter and how the relationship has gone so far.
Of course, how the PC feels about things and relates to her is still very much up to the player, but having a few more concrete details to draw from later will help any version of the relationship feel more grounded, I hope.
In any case, here it is; as always, I welcome feedback on things that don't feel quite right or areas where it might need smoothing out, so don't hesitate to say so if you think of something like that!

The way you've blended it with the background narrative is lovely and I'm going to second the comment above about how nice it is to see such fantastic options for afro hair! The og character creator was delightful as well but this is definitely a fine tuned improvement and it's got me excited to see how the rest of the edits go! Happy New Year Jess! 2024-01-01 03:41:01 +0000 UTCthey’re wonderful in my book! likening cornrows to garden rows was delightful and i personally refer to my afro as “cloud hair” as well lolol! they’re evocative of the actual styles while still maintaining the sense of fantasy that foa has + the poetic verbiage that you use which is just. so healing to see i can’t lie. to see someone outside of the community use this kind of language to describe black hair is just a different type of joy for me :) masterful work ^^

2023-12-31 03:12:55 +0000 UTCi did a quick playthrough (i am sucker for dense character creation) and i just wanna thank you for giving the afro textured hair options protective styling options as well! i was so pleasantly surprised by it <3 also the descriptions of the hair itself just warmed my heart ^^ wonderful job
