New month, new build-in-progress. For those of you new to the Patreon, this is the game with an incomplete Chapter Eight tacked onto the end, for those of you who don't mind playing part of a chapter and seeing the outline for the rest.
That said, it's not that incomplete at this point! We've got 160,000 words in total in the chapter right now, which is a full 60k up from last month, and puts us partway through the final scene of the chapter. That should mean that I finish up sometime next month, at which point early access will begin!
One thing to note about these is that they are very raw drafts, so you may notice some typos or other errors. By all means point those out to me if you like, but I'll be doing an editing run for those sometime before the chapter is properly published, so hopefully they won't appear in the next version.
One thing I'd love feedback on is how the Orpheus and Eurydice story in here goes, though. :)

Given the sheer amount of gods there are in the mythology to draw from, the answer is generally one of four things if they have not yet shown up: 1. they just don't exist in this version of things, 2. they have been merged into an existing character (as Thanatos has with Hades), 3. they are canonically dead, most likely as a casualty of the Titanomachy (with or without an Erebus situation to go along with, but mostly without), or 4. they are presumed to be elsewhere (such as in a different Underworld city like Hypnos is). Sometimes they aren't born yet (such as Eros), but that's rarer. I'm glad you're enjoying the game! Self-inserting is certainly a valid way to play; I try not to make any implied judgements about that vs roleplaying in the design of the game itself. :)

2023-04-03 00:11:28 +0000 UTCJust wanted to say I found and have been following this since January and I have to say that I have been loving it. I have hyperfixated on this the entire time. I've tried a handful of potential styles, but my go-to is playing as a big ball of anxiety and sensory issues. Obviously self inserting a bit, as I feel the the story intends. And while I get why not, I wish I could romance both Hades and Hekate at once. I really like your retelling of the mythology, though it does make me curious of the gods that seemingly should exist at this point but don't seem to such as Thanatos being the god of death, and Boreas or Khione typically being associated with cold. Is that confidential? Is it an Erebus situation? Are those gods yet to be born?
