DELPHI: How long it takes to cross the Bridge; plus learning about the memorial

This video was filmed the day after the verdict. i was invited to take a walk on the trail with fellow Youtubers and learn more about the memorial, why these creators covered the case and trial, and they teach me how long it really takes to cross the Monon High Bridge.

In addition to this video, check out the video we just publicly shared on YouTube tonight HERE: https://youtu.be/KvGtsU78DZg?si=QQV9KxDwqiGVuX8R

Aww I just love this. You guys are so sweet and talk so great about those angels it just makes me so happy to see people come together for them. They deserve all the love and care in the world. I couldn't imagine the terror they felt that day. As a 40 yr old it scares me to think of the fear they felt. Thank you guys!

Rna B

Me too, I keep watching for it.

shanna david

LAUREN!!! You guys should cover the pike county massacre case in Ohio there have been tons of tv movies and documentaries made about it the last suspect had his pre trial yesterday and it got HEATED! Everyone else has taken plea agreements or been convicted except for the dad this is his pretrial yesterday. And it is possibly a death penalty case

Amanda

I am just overwhelmed with the love strangers have for Abby and Libby Thank god he is behind bars where he belongs

Nancy K

If you look at his history and what others have to say about him, you’ll likely come to the same conclusion I did, he’s a fraud. Hes in it for the money and he’s not very good at doing anything other than begging for money and being a fraud. Hes deleted multiple YouTube accounts, said he was done multiple times, only to start back up under another channel name.

"Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future." Well stated! I like it!

ApotheKaren

I wonder what happened with interviewing the lady that said she knew RA & was relieved he was convicted.

Lauren McCarthy

I agree, I’ve often thought she may have fainted or had been in shock.

Being able to be there with you all is so very meaningful. I just get the feeling of how crossing that bridge for two girls their age would be a rite of passage. And they must’ve felt so good just to be alive. Some of their strength and new power, led them to be so very brave in filming him. When you are young and female in this world, you’ve had enough experiences already to dread the approach of a man. And a man putting off such a serious vibe. Thank you to all of you, thank you for bearing witness, and for helping the rest of us to bear witness, too. ❤️

Mary Hatchet

Thank you Lauren for attending the trial, had you not there would be a majority of people whom would have been fed one side of the equation and Abby, Libby and their families would be harassed ongoing with the public believing Richard Allen was innocent, even if a jury found him guilty. Without you we wouldn’t truly know the evidence - YOU MADE A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE! An honest and correct difference. You’ve also seen how rabid things can get in the true crime world and how important it is for people like you to attend, things you couldn’t imagine from a community that took place, yet, your dignity will shine on unlike others with motives vs truth, justice and two little girls. I’m reading between the lines of things perhaps yet girl, you stayed CLASSY! Love your way X

I wonder if Abby fainted in pure and utter terror and Allen decided to murder that beautiful child then as she posed no threat vs he hit her, or that would be in the autopsy. Libby then knew what he was capable of and he toyed with her. OMG just thinking of this both breaks my heart in to splinters and my mind angers. Alas, may they rest in eternal peace. And Richard Allen NEVER.

Samantha Molloy

Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. ❤️

Janet Trowbridge

Lovely to see the good side of humanity. Thanks 😊

Kirsten C

I remember during the trial being completely shocked that there was no visible “trauma”, but it was made very clear that that didn’t mean there wasn’t sexual assault… meaning no rape but they were most likely “molested” which Richard Allen told us in his confession… nobody knew that at that time

Tracy Green

I believe Dr.John more or less said that it’s most likely because he had a gun…

Tracy Green

Great point! And he knew they were cut multiple times! I am from Indiana and I thought girls were shot until a year ago give or take a few months!

D. Haskins

Ty Anthony for honesty, I truly hope you can stay or narrow path.

D. Haskins

I love Marv voice!

D. Haskins

Yes! Greatbidea!

D. Haskins

It makes sense now. Thank you for this.

There is an abandoned train trestle near my home that me and my best friend used to hike too as young girls much like Abby & Libby. It is so scary to think how easily something like this could have happened to us, when thinking back that was the furthest thing from our minds, just having fun as young girls not thinking anyone would ever be out to hurt us so senselessly. I think justice has been served in this case, my heart aches for everyone involved. RIP Abby and Libby.

Cassidy DeShazo

The locals knew that the perpetrator had to be local Because of the bridge and it surrounding Someone who knew the bridge well and had been there before That must have been terrifying for the community

Vala Hauksdóttir

May god bless all the people who where deeply affected by this tragedy and are living in Delphi I can’t begin to imagine how they feel and the terror and fear for the last 7 years and to have to listen to the defence claims of RA innocent and mistreatment just diabolical Justice has finally prevailed and hopefully the community can finally heal ❤️

Vala Hauksdóttir

I have to admit: I am half hyperventilating and sweating just watching him walk over the bridge!!! When I heard about this case for the first time, I couldn't believe this bridge was open for the public !!!

lil

That bridge is so high. Its spooky out there too.

Trial Junkie People also forget that Richard Allen was trained combat in the military. He was obsessed with knifes and box cutters.

Kay Louise

I truly think after being naked and crossing the creek/river Abby was cold. Richard Allen saw that Abby was very young. She was probably crying and truly I think he let Libby dress her. Her hands were up because she was cold. Libby probably tried to run. There is a swift motion if someone is down for his method of killing. He had to go after Libby and grabbed her but he had to repeat his actions to kill her. Libby was bigger and stronger. She cried because she saw what he did, she tried to stop her wounds. I pray they are at peace.

Kay Louise

He does say what he did, he made sure they didn’t suffer and were dead. He threw the box cutter away. So very sad and even worse is that people doubt his confession and the evidence in totality.

Kay Louise

Lauren, this would be a very interesting topic of conversation with Dr John about why Abby wouldn’t have run, survival instinct and the fight/flight/freeze/fawn response. She may have been aware but couldn’t run. Remember on the bridge when she told Libby “don’t leave me up here”. I work with youth as a therapist and a lot of trauma victims cannot fight or run, they are frozen.

Tai Kennedy

Praying for Libby and Abby's loved ones.

Hope4All

One of the biggest things I find that points towards Richard Allen’s guilt is that in his confessions he said he didn’t rape them, only the killer would have known that, also in another confession he says he molested them which I think is probably accurate 😢

Tracy Green

Where would it be that Richard Allen would have seen them alone on the bridge? I’ve always been curious to know

Tracy Green

Thank you! I had a lot of doubt and questions about the timeline, this really helped.

Līga Vasara-Brakmane

My problem is what happened between he killed them and left them in the woods. Why didn’t he tell exactly what he did and how he killed them. We know how they were killed but in his confessions all he says is he killed them.

Trial Junkie

This was so special. Thank you for sharing with us. I'm glad you stayed for the verdict and a little longer to participate in things like this. I hope you are getting some much deserved rest! 🩵💜

Marci Hladik

What is it that you feel you’re missing about the activities of this crime? We know that Richard Allen was planning on sexually assaulting them, but things went sideways and for his own selfish reasons, rather than get caught, he killed them and left them in the woods to be found the next day. We know that Richard Allen spent the next five years watching LE chase their tails, meanwhile he’s hiding right there, just as Doug Carter said, in plain sight. And thanks to a very aware volunteer, a tip was found that had been lost, which led to the arrest and conviction of Allen.

Anthony Greeno- Investigation Unsolved

James

Thank you for this. Very nice, pleasant conversation. Hi Marv! I hope you’ve gotten some rest Lauren, and managed to recuperate from the mental challenges this case has brought.

James

It’s so true, they were LITTLE GIRLS xxx

Samantha Hawkins

Thank you for sharing this💙💜

Denise Miller

What is the name of Anthony’s channel? Also thank you for doing this!

Deb Nelson

It’s so great that you had some fellow Crime Investigators to talk to after such a long time of watching the trial.

Trial Junkie

Did they open any of the clothing evidence at trial?

Trial Junkie

He’s a character!

Trial Junkie

The bridge is 862 feet long

Trial Junkie

I love the girls too as I love every child victims. I feel that something is driving me to find out what happened to them. After the trial I still don’t know exactly every step they took. I’m hoping that when all of the evidence is released we can finally know what LE knows.

Trial Junkie

7 long years for the family and community. So many diversions from Law Enforcement. So aweful. 2 beautiful innocent young teens just erased. So sad.
