One day they get their eyes on a dragon, a dangerous beast people don't tend to hunt, both because of etiquette and because of well, the danger, shit breathes fire. So they go there and manage to kill the thing, and as she slices his belly to gut him with her big sword she gets flooded with dragon bloodn, and though they thought it to be dead the dragon rises, grabs the assassin immobilizing her, their eyes meet and lock, the room flashes dark, their eyes glow for a short second before the party comes back to their senses to drown the dragon's head in arrows. Killing it for good.
That night, the team sleeps on bunk beds at a tavern, one guy gets up to go pee and sees what looks like a giant snake in the room, he alarms everyone who wake up in panic, the snake speeds around the room without a clear end or beginning, as one catches it to stab it, our assassins feels a sharp pain in a undescribable place, the snake switches and send the guy flying to the top. Someone finally brings a light, and in the now easy to see environment, they discover their assassin partner covered in scales, with a long ass tail and transformed legs, and a... no longer so flat silhouette ? She's been cursed
