Notes

Aaaand that's Cyberpunk added to my collection of works, awesome :D!

I have wanted to do a "moving HUD" thing ever since I first started and figured that it would be fitting for this animation considering how elaborate the UI is for the game itself (which I ought to get around to play among all the other ones I've mentioned previously...). I first considered having the UI be completely animated in post, but something compelled me to have it be rendered along the animation itself. The UI assets themselves were al made in Premiere Pro, which were then imported to Blender as a transparent Mesh plane and then loosely paired to the camera alongside some extra keyframes to give it a proper delayed bounce.  Overall, I think it came out alright for a first try but can definitely be improved in the future ( ^ ) ノシ. Furthermore, it was also a good excuse to practice some more POV animation which I haven't really done much of at all.

Besides the asset creation, this is my first animation that was also entirely edited in Davinci Resolve. I've decided to slowly migrate away from Premiere Pro as the color correction in Davinci Resolve is absolutely brilliant and the rendering/previewing videos is lightning fast compared to Premiere Pro as it's GPU-bound instead of CPU-bound. I haven't gotten the hang of everything quite yet, in fact not much at all, but it should pay off in the long term (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑. Overall, this was more of a technical learning challenge more than anything, so excuse me if it's a bit underwhelming 😅.

Back to working on the Lara Croft animation \(^O^)/
