New Animation Preview!

Hi everyone! Check out the video Hana sent Tatsuki at work now animated!

I love how smooth and crisp everything looks. I'll try my best to make as much animations as possible. I'll start with the fan-favorite scenes.

Behind the Scenes

Until now I've been testing different animations methods to find the ideal workflow. This animation was done with a simple software which is exported into an image sequence that I reassemble into a video format the Ren'Py engine can read.

The color balance on the file can be a little off depending but inside the engine the colors are rendered exactly as the original CGs. You can toggle the animation on and off to see the difference and you'll find none.

The disadvantages of the video format are the file size (different videos for each variation) and the complexity to blend different animations. That's why I'm trying Live2D, a more complex software (think V-tubers). The advantages are: better animation quality, less file size and more control for me while scripting. I feel is the right choice moving forward, but it's proving to be more time consuming and complex to coordinate than the previous method. It takes more time than making the illustration itself! :( The good news is I'm making progress creating a workflow in order to work with animators.
