Red's Weekly Update

First and foremost--the request sketch poll. Last week I presented a couple ideas for how to run it and wanted my patrons to help me decide. I figured the lovely people actually making the requests should have a say, and the decision is pretty clear based on the poll results. So in a couple days I'll make a post just about the request sketches to explain how it will work and start taking actual request ideas! Really excited to see what you pervs can come up with. :3
Next up, Sailor Mars vs Akuma: I finished about 70% of the character lineart. Next I have to figure out how the heck I'm going to do all the fire and smoke and stuff.
I've made some significant progress on the 2B project. I'll have a video to show along with the new monthly build, but for now here's what I've added:
- Implemented player and enemy HP and destructibility
- Player ship loses pieces as it takes damage
- Slow motion effect on player death (may or may not keep this. It's not in the actual game, but it looks pretty rad).
- Graphical details: vignette, aberration, and grid overlay effects
These may seem pretty basic, but they're critical since I now have win and lose states to jump off from. The next major task will be to figure out how to transition from one scene to another. Then dialogue, then art and animation...oof, still have a long way to go.
