Tor Tries Obscure Local Sodas

Sorta the closest thing to the "first Tor's Cabinet of Curiosities video", although this even predates the TCOC radio show that I did on the campus radio station at Lewis & Clark College. This is from when I was moving out of my dorm at L&C after my 2020-21 freshman year, and over that year I'd amassed a collection of obscure regional sodas from around the US and world. This is because I had to do a drug test for my summer job, so I had to pee in a cup, and so to make the task of having to pee really badly into a fun challenge, I decided to buy a bunch of obscure sodas (or "obscure" sodas, i.e. the first ones that come up when you google "obscure sodas") and make a taste test video. That ended up not working out due to timing issues, so I still had hella bottles of soda in my dorm when I moved out. This is the origin of the tradition of every TCOC video ending with me taking a swig from my water bottle (or something else) as "Walk Away" by the Game begins to play. It's long, it's slow, and it's mildly funny. I think this is the rattiest my hair has ever looked. Enjoy.

If you're ever in Harrisonburg Va, (Home of JMU would be the only reason) there's a burger place called Cuban Burger that imports Iron Beer and you can get a mid drink and an excellent burger.

Was very excited and then dissapointed at the final drink because I thought you had brought out Iron Beer not Iron Brew, a cuban drink, also quite famous in his home country Cuba, aswell its first Americanization: Cigar City. I won't beat around the bush it tastes like flate dr pepper but with more health benefits, it has a very interesting history and you should search it out.

there's so much good stuff in here I completely forgot about. I ranted about my grievances with the kids' gymnastics place I went to in elementary school, but never fully explained why Frostie Blue Cream reminded me of the place. (It's because it smelled exactly like the stamps I hated) I referenced "that's the beauty of it, it doesn't do anything". I basically temporarily turned into RFK Jr at the mention of "natural flavors". And for the record, Irn-Bru is not "literally illegal" in Europe - it's sold all across Europe - although it does include additives banned in the US. The version I bought was a formulation for specialty soda stores in the US, with FDA-legal additives, which might be the real reason why it tastes different from the stuff I had in Scotland. Nor does Scotland have its own food regulations in order to keep Irn-Bru legal there, although Scotland did once successfully lobby the UK government to not ban a particular additive because it's used in Irn-Bru.
