WIP video about Forever Chemicals — Kindly Requesting Feedback!
Added 2025-04-25 13:23:59 +0000 UTCComing soon: a video about the discovery, implementation, and widespread use of some very unique chemicals
We’d love to hear your feedback and suggestions as we wrap up this video.
Still in progress:
Animations are a work in progress
Paceholders are used for Derek talking to the camera. Producer Gregor has also recorded some temporary lines of voiceover, so you'll hear his voice mixed in where Derek's will eventually be.
And we're still waiting on our test results for blood PFAS levels
Thank you so much for your time and help!

Derek and team. This episode and the research were just fantastic. I knew the DuPont story but not to this level. You’re all doing such valuable work - a big thank you for raising such important topics and awareness.

2025-05-12 21:58:45 +0000 UTCThanks for very concerning information. Misc thots: 1. Bloodletting as cure is curious, but open to wild misinterpretation. 2. Would welcome view point from a biochemist familiar with fatty acid metabolism to comment on mechanisms of C8 uptake and persistence. 3. Glad to see institutions like APL are investigating.

2025-04-28 20:41:36 +0000 UTCThank you for this video. I was about to buy a pan. I had to rewatch 7:30-11:10 a few times (maybe because English isn't my native language). @ 9:52, I managed to forget that TFE is a gas, not a polymer, so I was confused about which gas we were talking about. @ 11:10, a question popped into my head and distracted me: is a mechanical bond really strong enough? @ 34:50 I was under the impression that all non-stick materials are PFAS, but @ 45:00, ceramic pans seem to be safe.
