Case 329: Roseanne Beckett

In mid-1989 in the small New South Wales Town of Taree, local residents and law enforcement alike began investigating a woman named Roseanne Catt. There were allegations that Roseanne was a violent and cruel woman, intent on killing her husband: it was reported that she had thrown a rock at his head, stabbed him with a knife, poisoned his drinks, and solicited hitmen. But this investigation was just the beginning of a case that would grow even stranger the more it unravelled…

Case 329: Roseanne Beckett

Comments

1 murder per episode minimum would be nice. This season, in terms of case selection and writing direction, has been a major disappointment.

This wasn’t a bad episode by any means but I hope you can start covering more serial killers

I am clearly a bit slow because I hadn’t caught on to the pattern of Casey as unreliable narrator that other listeners have lately. What an incredible, infuriating episode. Absolute credit to the casefile team (and absolute discredit to the NSW “justice” system!)
