She has the hallmarks of a con artist but with unique motivations that make her saga so perplexing. Thank you for diving into what's known (and not known) about her crimes, history, and psychology. You answered a lot of my questions, but a few more for Erin and the team if you have time: Why do you think GPO girl, as a serial offender who clearly isn't deterred by her convictions, continues to get short sentences with seemingly lax counseling or rehab requirements? Did you find anything about whether she has to pay restitution to establishments or families she's affected? Also, what were the main head scratchers for you as you worked on this and came across all the mystery surrounding her? Separately, just a note to say I’ve really enjoyed and found new favorites in the episodes you've put out this year. Thank you for the consistently excellent podcast and all the amazing work the team puts into it!

2025-08-12 22:52:18 +0000 UTCFor the GPO Girl, other than goin to prison for 1 or 2 years at a time, what methods could be used to keep her from committing crimes, especially ones that might endanger other people's children? The threat of prison doesn't seem to alter her behavior at all.
