Case 317: Thomas Perez

When 71-year-old Thomas Perez Senior failed to return home after a short walk to his mailbox in Fontana, California, his son Tom wasn’t overly concerned. He suspected his father had just gone to visit friends or family and would return home of his own accord. But when police arrived at the Perez home to complete a missing person’s report, they came to suspect something else entirely.

This was Premium Episode #32, released in November 2024. It is not new content, it is the same episode, but as Premium episodes are now going to be released on the main feed months after their initial Patreon release, we had to repost it so that all episodes can keep the same numbering on the main feed and the Patreon feed.

Acab. Once I realized where this episode was going I had to stop listening. Still a forever fan, Casefile.

This is incredibly insane. Seriously all cops are bastards and you will never convince me otherwise. I feel so awful for these poor victims of state abuse.

On this episode of All Cops are Bastards, Anyway! I take psychiatric medications and have also been in situations where I did not have access to them and went through withdrawals. Even though I know that no police officer would ever care even a little bit, I maintain that depriving someone of their medication is torture, and depriving someone of psychiatric medication should be a felony *specifically* because of the symptoms that withdrawals cause.
