This week's episode, Case 306, Ina & David Steiner, will be our final episode for 2024. We'll be back soon with new episodes in February, but for now, the Casefile team will be busy behind the scenes preparing for next year's releases.
The team at Casefile would like to thank each and every one of you for your time, feedback, and ongoing support. It's hard to believe that we're about to embark on our tenth year of the show while being stronger than ever. None of this would have been possible without our audience, and we are so incredibly grateful to each and every listener.

Take what you pay for the sub and divide it by whichever episodes you appreciate and if it isn’t doing it for you, go. Just because some don’t regard Behind the Scenes episodes as ‘worth it’, some do. I don’t personally listen to them but I respect they take time to research and make and edit etc They do polls every so often to gauge interest in the types of episodes and they act accordingly. So remember, you might be in the minority. Too bad, so sad etc I’ve been around since the early days and I’m staying. I prefer to support (and avoid ads), the end.

2024-12-01 13:08:51 +0000 UTCI think a lot of people don’t realise the team is still working throughout most of their “breaks” - they get ahead with researching cases and writing scripts to maintain their weekly schedule the rest of the year. Yes the breaks are longer than they were in the early days (I do miss the Christmas themed episodes), but their workload is also a lot larger these days, so let’s cut Casey some slack ❤️

2024-12-01 11:22:59 +0000 UTCBefore any of you complain about the lack of content, please read this: Casefile put out 51 new episodes this year. Yes, really. That count includes all of the main episodes, Behind the Files, and all of the premium episodes that haven't yet been repeated on the main feed. They put out new content every single month this year. That episode count doesn't include producing and releasing not one, not two, not three, but FOUR new complete original Casefile Presents podcasts this year alone. (Five if you count Bakersfield Three, which came out over the break last year). That's also on top of all the new Youtube remixes of older cases — and they just promised to release more of those over the break. For a comparison, 51 episodes in a year is significantly more than almost every other popular true crime show. For comparison, Swindled released 27 episodes this year, including bonus eps. Gen Why put out 45 new episodes this year. Court Junkie - 23 eps. Southern Fried True Crime - 16 eps. Invisible Choir - 45 eps including bonus eps. The only podcast I found with more eps released this year than Casefile was They Walk Among Us, and those eps are usually only half an hour; Casefile's are routinely 90 minutes or more. For people to act like they aren't getting anything for their financial support of this podcast just isn't the reality.

I've been a Casefile listener since the beginning and I know we're all grateful for the hard work the team puts into what they do. There is no other podcast like this one, and while we miss you during breaks, you deserve them. I look forward to January!
