Standing on his doorstep was a teenage boy, whom Chun Nam didn’t recognise. It seemed reasonable to assume he had come to see one of Chun Nam’s two children. When asked who was looking for, the boy explained that he wanted to speak to Winsie.

2022-11-29 13:37:51 +0000 UTCMaybe I'm cold hearted but I always feel like minors get away relatively scot free whenever they commit a serious crime in many western countries. When I was a teen i and many others absolutely knew what was wrong and what was right.

I get being a teen and I can't say they didn't act like every other teen, especially young teens, but I wish they would have been more aware when Polly's rhetoric started to sound more angry and aggressive and that something was wrong.

2022-11-27 13:20:55 +0000 UTCWhen you hear about cases like these it’s always a stark reminder how cold blooded and ultimately dumb beyond belief supposedly “normal” kids can be. It’s also incredibly convenient how fast these kids go from stunted to the point of being completely irresponsible for their actions, to full rehabilitation in such a short amount of time. I’m all for rehabilitation in almost every level of the criminal justice system, but murder is a special case that deserves the highest scrutiny above and beyond a few satisfactory psychological reports.
