As someone who has been consistently stigmatised from my diagnosis, and has almost lost family members due to the same diagnosis, your comment is actually incredibly offensive. Do not lecture me on 'my attitude' when I am the one who has to live with the consequences of the medias portrayal of BPD on a daily basis.

2022-07-17 06:50:07 +0000 UTCI am diagnosed with BPD. I think you will find that her solicitors absolutely did use her diagnosis as an excuse for her behaviour. Their argument didn't work as borderline personality disorder does not justify someone committing murder, but that doesn't change the fact that they did use it as an excuse.
