That 911 call was the most chilling thing I’ve ever heard.

Tayla R

That was so sad. Can't understand her family treating him like that. There was no excuse for what she did, a mean, spiteful woman. Those poor babies, even used them till the end. If I can't have them no one will.

Toni hynes

Very good catch Telma. Thanks for listening

Casefile True Crime

@Casefile Wow, well in that case I’m impressed with myself for how well I paid attention! πŸ˜‚ thanks for the update, I will redownload and give it another listen

Telma M

Hi Telma, As soon as we released the episode we realised a segment of audio was accidentally deleted in the production process. We replaced the episode with the full audio as soon as possible, but if you had downloaded it shortly after release, you might have the original, incorrect version. If you re-download the episode you should get the full version, which includes the audio that details the information about Brandi's mother. Thank you

Casefile True Crime

Question I need to ask when the Q&A comes out. In one part, the narrative is that Jason wakes up and comes upstairs from the basement to find his mother-in-law crying in the kitchen, and Brandi sitting catatonic in the living room. The MIL is never mentioned again, even in the reconstruction of events of the day before… was she staying with them at the time? Or did Brandi call her to come over before she phoned 911 and Jason woke up? Sorry just this little continuity detail is bugging me!

Telma M

I had followed this tragedy and the immediate aftermath on Reddit. You did an excellent job telling the story. This is a heavy one…

DaveC

This is so tragic. I remember the Reddit saga but never heard the story of the family affected. Excellent work, Casefile team!

Olive

I appreciate the details in this, after only ever reading the original post and the updates. absolutely horrific

Rissi Watson

This somehow made me feel worse than I did when I was reading the original posts.

Megan

Her family are also horrible, watching Jason as be visited his children's graves on the anniversary and making things difficult for him.

Mai Nguyen

Truely horrific.

Mandy Van Rooy

Dang. Rough one

Bradford Shovlin

I remember reading this on reddit.. what an absolute gut wrenching case. Brandi deserves nothing more than to live a long, horrible life in prison.

Ash

my jaw dropped at the 911 call

Lux Gesite

Oh my god, the 911 call is terrifying

Evan Stone

Holy shit - what an awful case πŸ˜” absolutely brilliant writing (as always), I was hooked from the first words.

CSJ

That poor 911 operator!! Did it seem to anyone else he was in shock at what he was hearing?

Candice Williams

I remember when this happened. Her mother's 911 call when she finds the children is heartbreaking. I hope Brandi is doing VERY hard time in prison.

Amber

That 911 call was one of the more disturbing things I’ve heard lately. 😳

Brenda Wells

This was heartbreaking πŸ˜₯

Laura B

The rage I felt… those poor babies 🀍 This case is reminiscent of the Darlie Routier case, at least those were my first thoughts.

Monica

Never heard about this case before. I knew it would turn dark, but never imagined the twist it would take. How sad.

zoe

Did not go the way I thought it would.

SalBee

Oh my god! Didn't see that coming!!

Iain Strachan

Oh wow, I remember watching this go down in real time on Reddit at the time. What an awful, sad case :(
