Having graduated two days earlier, the classmates left their hometown of Birmingham, Alabama to spend five days holidaying in Aruba, a tropical island in the southern Caribbean Sea. The senior class trip had become somewhat of a rite of passage for fresh graduates from Mountain Brook High, providing one final bonding experience before they parted ways for college and other endeavours.
