2020-03-30 19:28:58 +0000 UTCThank you. The Batavia was super interesting. Years ago I read of a case called The Sundown Muders, about travellers along Australian outback roads being murdered. People driving would welcome others to share a campfire etc. But then there was a murder or murders and it made outback people wary if strangers. It was in a non fiction book, maybe 40 years ago i read it. I was into True Crime, forensics, criminology as a late teen. I could never find the case again.

"In the Dark" by Simon Read seems to have a ton of information, just snagged it on my kindle. Pretty great, so far! :-)

(Sth Africa) That one just blew me away, as in how that woman survived is beyond me. I’m all over true crime and I had never even heard of this one till this year 😟

Keeping in topic with the world at the moment with the - COVID 19 pandemic, my question is, is there any cases out there that happened during similar time’s? (Eg diseases/lockdown etc) Only because my mum just turned 70 this year and lived thru the war time/rations in Scotland. She said she thought she would never see something like this again.
