Case 112: Rachel Barber

It came as little surprise to those who knew Rachel Barber that she had chosen to leave conventional high school to pursue a career in dance. Her passion for the art began when she was in the womb. Her mother Elizabeth would press headphones to her bare belly and feel her unborn daughter move to the sounds of classical music.

This was hard to listen to. The case is tragic but I can’t get the part out of my brain, where the perpetrator (before she was the perpetrator) begged for help from her parents. She begged them for help because she wasn’t coping and no one did anything. I’m not saying that that justifies any of her behaviour but if someone is asking for help, especially a child, I can’t fathom the thought that they didn’t get that for her. How might her life and this story be different if they had??

Now that's what I like to wake up to. Wait... Is that bad?? Just an an aside/ and I'm really not being ungrateful because I freaking LOVE everything about Casefile.... But I'm starting to get a little over saturated with all the violence to women Just at the moment- are there any woman kills man on the horizon? 😅😅 NOT that that's preferable. It's all tragic. But like.... I'm just wondering. Thank you all for everything you do. 🖤
