No disappointment here! I love the content you put out, regardless!

Alexcia Beaton

aw thankyou xxx

adele zedburn

Me, too. Dang 😓

Vicki Joseph

Thank Adele for being a donor! My husband wouldn’t be here if it were for people like you ❤️ he has a heart transplant almost 3 years ago. He would have missed so much! Thank you thank you thank you ❤️

Jennifer Guidry

Damn! I was driving when the notification went off and of course by the time I got home I completely forgot. I’m sorry I missed it!

Jennifer Guidry

That's okay. Marmite is a million times better than Vegemite 😉

Vicky London

I can imagine how bust you must be!

Kristen Calhoun

My friend is from New Zealand (I know not the same place, but relatively close in geography) and she just spent $280 to have some snacks shipped to her in Colorado, USA. Any snacks from Australia that are worth that much money to ship?

Rachel Buck

I do as well Rachel. Which is probably why ones like Anita Cobby and Silk Road were some of my favorites. I love hearing what the investigators were doing at the same time as the criminals.

Joan G

That makes a lot of sense. I can only imagine how tough it must be to delve deep into each case. All the more respect to you for choosing cases like that for the sake of raising awareness - despite it being tough on you all.

Dagny Valgeirsdottir

What is it about cold cases that you like? I like cases that have resolution and learning about how they caught the guy.

Rachel Buck

Cool beans mate!

Karaoke LEGEND Cosmo Blues

Looks like the questions have dried up. Thank you all for joining me for the AMA today. I’ll be recording the September edition of from the files today so that will be out shortly. And there will be a recorded AMA soon. Thank you for your support.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Emma. Will definitely note it down to take a look at. You can email me about it to if you like host@casefilepodcast.com

Casefile True Crime

Ha! She's very wise, that's Mrs Casey's-Mum.

Roxy Hotten

Hey Casey it’s still early morning in WA! I really like listening to your podcast, it’s excellent. Very well executed (pardon the pun). In about 2004 my friend Tania Moore was brutally murdered by her ex fiancé then he tried to make it look like an accident. It was a tragic case, she was only 25 and was a talented show jumper. Please will you have a look? There was a lot in the UK press about it at the time.

Emma Dusenberg

👍

Casefile True Crime

Thank you Abby.

Casefile True Crime

I really appreciate the time and effort you guys put into these cases. You make it easy to follow and you do so with the up most respect.

Abby Eather

The best!

Casefile True Crime

Thank you. Have noted those down.

Casefile True Crime

Thank you Katie 😀

Casefile True Crime

I hope you maintain your anonymity BTW, very wise decision.

Melanie G.

Hi Jake. Wow. Tough one. Silverchair (sorry Jess) Frenzal (only just. Love Grinspoon) TISM Smith Street Band.

Casefile True Crime

Casey, no questions just always seem to miss these so using the opportunity to compliment you and the team on all the amazing podcasts you do. Please don't change your name either, Casey McCasefile is the best!

Katie Lea

Hi Chris. Extremely coincidental 😀

Casefile True Crime

Hi Jess. Thank you. I wouldn’t say I favour any cold case over an another. I want them all solved. And was equally as happy when news came through of an arrest in the Claremont serial killer case and the Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman case. Hoping there will be lots more to come! But given how many victims and survivors were involved in the EARONS GSK case. It was definitely huge that one.

Casefile True Crime

Yay! Would love to hear it if you do cover it. Mainly because of how the term came about being interesting in itself, but the case too. And being an Aussie who has lived in Sweden, it’s like a perfect mix of true crime if I heard you cover it!

Sarah McRae

Yup, sounds right! The murders were from back in the 80’s maybe earlier

Karaoke LEGEND Cosmo Blues

Hi Mariya. Not familiar with that one but will note it down to check out.

Casefile True Crime

4 bodies in barrels in New Hampshire.

Mariya Cassin

Dan Carlin is amazing, is he not? 🙂

Karaoke LEGEND Cosmo Blues

Sorry, I don’t know how to reply directly to your reply. I wondered if that was the reason you picked the Toy Box case, especially after learning he wasn’t charged with murder and even more assaults. I appreciate that Casefile does unsolved cases. I know people find them frustrating but by using your platform, you never know, a case could be solved and that would be the best outcome. That’s worth it IMO.

Laura Carlson

Hi Dagny. Personally no. I still find each case tough. Particularly the toy box. It was extremely unpleasant putting that together and narrating it. So definitely not de sensitised. And there was a reason we covered it - that FBI website with all those items. The more eyes on that website the better.

Casefile True Crime

There’s also a case recently solved that also involved a body in a barrel found either in New Hampshire or Western Massachusetts. Worth looking up. 😉

Karaoke LEGEND Cosmo Blues

Hi Sarah. Possibly yes.

Casefile True Crime

Australian 😬

Casefile True Crime

Hi Roxy. Cold cases for me

Casefile True Crime

Hi Kristen. I did until recently. That is on hold for now.

Casefile True Crime

Powderfinger trumps all of them :)

Jess Miller Chiller

It’s definitely possible he was just boasting and the items of jewellery etc were just from hoarding. But the FBI believe there’s enough of a possibility to have a website showing each item - so I think it needs to be treated as if there are more victims. It’s also possible some of the items are just from hoarding but some of them are legit from unknown victims.

Casefile True Crime

Bit of an Aussie music question, who's the better band in these cases? Silverchair or Powderfinger Frenzal Rhomb or Grinspoon TISM or The Bennies Violent Soho or The Smith Street Band

Jake Walker

Hi Mariya. I’m not sure.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Casey! Do you not find it coincidental that your Mum named you Casey and then you went on to have a podcast called Casefile?

Chris Howell

Hi Laura. Yeah that was what was extremely concerning. It was a case I knew basic details of before covering but didn’t know many specifics. I was shocked to learn he was never actually charged with a murder. And basically fell off my chair when I saw the website with all the items potentially belonging to unknown victims. I had absolutely no idea. And it was that reason we decided to cover the case. To bring some light to that and to that website. We are fortunate to have a large audience base. And You just never know.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Casey I love the podcast so much! Especially, your excitement regarding the capture of Joseph James DeAngelo. Is this your favourite cold case 'solved,' or do you have another? And if you haven't already, will you do an episode on it. Thanks so much to all the contributors to the series. It's amazing and by far my favourite poddy.

Jess Miller Chiller

Great to hear!

Casefile True Crime

Greetings from Colorado. Once again, love the podcast! One suggestion for a case is the unsolved murder of eight members of Rhoden family in Ohio in 2016.

Mariya Cassin

My theory after meeting with the investigators - that they would crack it - was project correct! But nothing specific to the alleged offender. As I had so many I went back and forth with.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Casey! I have a question, might be a weird one, but here goes: Do you feel like you get desensitized after having narrated all these casefiles? Personally I feel like I’ve gotten desensitized, which I probably would never even have thought of if it hadn’t been for the last few episodes where some listeners have been saying how they can’t even listen, while I’m more like “that was horrifying, but super interesting”.

Dagny Valgeirsdottir

I was about 5 beers deep watching the traditional ANZAC day rugby league match between the Dragons and my team the Roosters. Roosters were getting touched up so that news breaking during the game made it a better evening for sure!

Casefile True Crime

great i gave my kidney to my sister so she is hanging in there ! i came back to calgary where i live after donating in uk

adele zedburn

Thank you very much Kristen. The support of our patrons is hugely appreciated.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Adele. How are you going? Is all well with the transplant.

Casefile True Crime

If you know, was there any attempt by investigators to look for potential victims or bodies in Mexico, since this was so close to the border?

Mariya Cassin

Joe Rogan. Hardcore History. Jocko. Fantasy footballers. And a number of rugby league podcasts. (No true crime).

Casefile True Crime

Ooooh, could you please do a case for the whole reason ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ exists? I think that would be a fascinating case to cover!

Sarah McRae

A cheeky one: pavlova - Australian or Kiwi?

Vicky London

Thankyou very much Bianca.

Casefile True Crime

Hi cosmo. I am not know. Will note it down.

Casefile True Crime

I had not no!

Casefile True Crime

Hi Casey. Do you have a preference for which kind of cases you cover, eg: cold cases, cases in Australia, serial killer?

Roxy Hotten

Hi Rebecca. There is obvious recency bias. But the toy box was extremely unsettling. We did leave out a lot of the details and what remained was still hard to get through.

Casefile True Crime

Do you have a full time job outside casefile?

Kristen Calhoun

Do you think David Ray really killed dozens or that it was mostly fantasy/boasting? Wouldn't someone notice if that many women disappeared? For example, in the West Mesa Bone Collector case, somebody noticed many women, especially those in the sex work business, were missing before the graves were found.

Nick P

Thank you very much Thida

Casefile True Crime

Hi Casey! I was wondering what you think about the lack of tangible evidence against David Parker Ray. I can’t believe there isn’t more out there. Thanks for yet another great series! I’m not sure how I’m going to survive this weekend without Casefile. 😂💗

Laura Carlson

Thank you very much Sara.

Casefile True Crime

Where were you when you found out they'd caught EARONS? Did you have any personal theories that have since been confirmed/overturned?

Zachary Snowdon Smith

Hey Casey! I love the show and glad I can help out a little each month

Kristen Calhoun

Hi Carrie. Yep we sure do. Email them to submitacase@casefilepodcast.com

Casefile True Crime

thanks casefile for being great you tweeted me at xmas when i had a kidney transplant ! these episodes keep me going when i get my daily walks

adele zedburn

What podcasts do you listen to when you’re not working on these cases?

Carrie Livingston

Hey team, I just want to tell you I love what you do ❤️ thanks for all the hard work behind the scenes and by the talented narrator. Storytelling of this quality is hard to find. I'll try to think of a question for next time, love the opportunity to be a patron!

Bianca Ramirez

We won’t be making a big deal of it. Sorry to disappoint. Still not sure what case it will be yet. We have multiple scripts we are working on simultaneously. So will be the one that is ready.

Casefile True Crime

Sport. Or music.

Casefile True Crime

Hey Casey, (LOVE that moniker!) Are you familiar with the Charles Stuart case that happened here in Boston back in 1989? Would love to hear that one or any cases from New England area covered Thanks

Karaoke LEGEND Cosmo Blues

Hi Triston. Nothing that immediately jumps to my mind. But it is possible. In the meantime fee free to send any suggestions to submitacase@casefilepodcast.com

Casefile True Crime

Hi Alix. No Immediate plans no.

Casefile True Crime

Have you thought about doing a random raffle and collaborating with a patron member to choose a case to cover?

Triston Atilano

Hello from San Diego! What case has been the hardest for you to sit through?

Rebecca Shepard

Hi Ashley. We do have another European case on the horizon as well as Asia. As well as Australian cases of course.

Casefile True Crime

No questions really, except wanting to match a face to the awesome accent! But I know that won’t be revealed. So just keep up the great work! Your podcast is what turned me into true crime. Love, from Houston, Tx!

Thida Gott

Hi Amber. Thank you. Nothing concrete for 100. We won’t be making a big deal of it. Will just be whatever script is good to go.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Anon! just want to say thank you for all you do and for being an amazing narrator! you are a big part of what makes this podcast great!

Sara

Hi Melanie

Casefile True Crime

Hi Clare. Plenty of Australian cases on the horizon. I know it has been a little while since we have had one. But that’s just how it has fallen. Definitely hasn’t been a plan. Lots of Aussie ones coming as I said. Including large ones.

Casefile True Crime

Will definitely be a one parter.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Adele. Nothing concrete at this stage no. I know it’s getting close but essentially it will be whatever script is ready to go.

Casefile True Crime

Hi Sarah

Casefile True Crime

😀

Casefile True Crime

Hi Clare. I haven’t been keeping an eye on it really. No.

Casefile True Crime

I miss the Australian cases...

Clare Jeans

Greetings from Austin, Texas! Do you take listener suggestions for cases/stories? (Apologies if this has been asked previously- I’m a new subscriber! :) )

Carrie Livingston

I love the Eastern European cases we’ve been having lately! Any plans to do more cases from less western countries (Asia, Africa)?

Ashley White

Hoping for a special #100!!

Alexcia Beaton

If you have to pick another subject to do a podcast about that isn't true crime, what will it be?

Henry Ho

I’m a born and raised Oregonian. Any plans for any cases to be covered from the Pacific Northwest?

Triston Atilano

Hi Casey! Were you considering covering the Larissa Beilby case from earlier this year?

Alix Carson

I love the Eastern Europe cases we’ve been having lately! Any chances of doing more of them as well as cases from other less western countries (Asia, Africa)

Ashley White

Good morning! ToyBox was excellently researched and presented. I wasn’t familiar with the story so it was all new for me. Have you re considered a milestone episode for #100?

Amber Simpson

Hi Casefile Team!

Melanie G.

will it be a one off or a 3 parter ?

adele zedburn

any plans for episode 100

adele zedburn

Hi Casey! Can you please be Casey Somerton? :)

Sarah McRae

Hey Casey! Have you been keeping up the the Keli Lane story?
