Absolutely, and the Mothers, Wives, Grandmothers, Aunties, baby Girls, big Sisters and Great Great Niece of those Officers, and the K-9 Officers, who are neither the least of these. As those families in arms close their arms around each other in these heartless tragedies, when you prepare to draw your thin blue line around those who you swear to protect, and then in blind emotion loudly define... Your family, one nation solid: becomes in this stationhouse, one brotherhood... Please, in your pain, don't forget the parents, God and Country, and community who brought you up, and the women who have so many integral parts of who you are and how you respond, and beside you they fight for the same if not more civil rights, if not harder. For each and every day, the privilege you may live in and enjoy, women may not have. But yes, if (automatically upper class, white) respected police officer was killed, without any question or delay, justice would appear to be carried out.
