Just re-listened to this one for the first time in a while and it's amazing to think that I've been listening to this podcast for seven-plus years! This is also still one the best and most thorough rundown of this case I've ever heard. Thanks as always for the amazing work you do, Casey.

What I want to say, I can't, but let me just put it this way. Gabe Watson can never say he was acquitted by a jury of his peers.

This was an excellent example of what sets the Casefile podcast apart from the true crime genre. I have seen this story told on American television two different, and very biased tales. One tale is of a cold blooded wife murderer, the second is a hapless very unlucky two victim story wherein a young vibrant life was lost due to a reckless diving company and a man lost the woman of his dreams.

Great episode. I remember hearing the Gen Why podcast on this but you went into so much more detail and really helped me to understand the mystery of this case. Great work as always. It's hard to say either way on this one I think, I kind of get the impression he was just a really inexperienced diver and panicked. But then it's rather odd with the whole life insurance aspect.

This was brilliantly researched and presented.Told with sensitivity, fairness and clarity with such a sad story. The team at Casefile achieved a new level of excellence!

WOW! This might very well be Mr. Anonymous's most impressive performance! That was quite the story you narrated for us my good man. I'm surprised you didn't come down with a case of the bends yourself after taking that much-needed first breath when you were all done! Must've been a big one!?. Another very interesting episode...thank you, and keep up the good work!

I followed this case when it occurred through the trial in Australia and the investigation in the US. I am still undecided about what really happened. Maybe your podcast will help me make up my mind.

Hey, my husband and I are listening now. Great episode so far but you mispronounced the name of the indigenous owners in Townsville. It's pronounced "Wall-gah-roo-gah-bah". We're indigenous and actually from Townsville so we appreciate you mentioning them.
