Grand Utopia compatibility with ETS 2 1.47

Hello dear Utopians,

SCS released the 1.47 version for its games today. A little review is necessary because, due to some modifications in the game files, the 1.15 version of Grand Utopia is not compatible with the 1.47 version of ETS 2.

Don't panic. This is really not a bad situation. The modified file was very easy to find. So I took the time this afternoon to update this file in a small mod that will allow you to continue playing Grand Utopia in 1.47 (be careful, the fix only patches the Grand Utopia mod, not all the mods you use 😅)

The fix has been posted on Truckymods and a link to the download page is available via this article. If you use it, be sure to put it right above the Grand Utopia mod in your mod manager.

Then, to quickly keep you informed of what will happen in the next few days:

• Tomorrow, or even Saturday, I'll take care of Grand Utopia. I could already proceed to a total reconstruction of the map (the famous "Recompute Map") this afternoon. So, I will take advantage of this update to fix all the bugs reported since the launch of v1.15. Ideally, I would like to release v1.15.1 during the day on Saturday.
• In the meantime, I will also be able to provide you with the new version 1.1 of Patrons Island. Indeed, following the modification of the ferry connections (defined until then in the GU mod for Patrons Island) I was waiting for the 1.47 to update this exclusive add-on.
• to finish, next week, I will be able to resume the mapping on Mygotopia.

Compatibilité de Grand Utopia avec ETS 2 1.47

SCS a publié la version 1.47 pour ses jeux aujourd'hui. Un petit article récap s'impose car, suite à quelques modifications dans les fichiers du jeu, la version 1.15 de Grand Utopia n'est pas compatible avec la 1.47 d'ETS 2.

Pas de panique. Cela n'est vraiment pas méchant. Le fichier modifié a été très simple à retrouver. J'ai donc pris le temps cet après-midi de mettre à jour ce fichier dans un petit mod qui vous permettra de continuer à jouer à Grand Utopia en 1.47 (attention, le fix corrige uniquement le mod de Grand Utopia, pas tous les mods que vous utilisez 😅)

Le fix a été posté sur Truckymods et un lien vers la page de téléchargement est disponible via cet article. Si vous l'utilisez, veillez à bien le mettre juste au dessus du mod Grand Utopia dans votre gestionnaire de mods.

Ensuite, pour rapidement vous tenir informés de ce qui va se passer dans les prochains jours :

• demain, voire samedi, je m'occupe de Grand Utopia. J'ai déjà pu procéder à une reconstruction totale de la map (le fameux "Recompute Map") cet après-midi. Aussi, je vais profiter de cette mise-à-jour pour corriger l'ensemble des bugs remontés depuis le lancement de la v1.15. Dans l'idéal, j'aimerai pouvoir publier la v1.15.1 dans la journée ce Samedi.
• dans la foulée, je pourrai également vous fournir la nouvelle version 1.1 de Patrons Island. En effet, suite à la modification au niveau des connexions ferrys (définies jusque lors dans le mod de GU pour Patrons Island) j'attendais la 1.47 pour faire la mise-à-jour de cet add-on exclusif.
• pour finir, la semaine prochaine, je pourrai reprendre le mapping sur Mygotopia.
