Where would you prefer to have the icon on the worldmap?

Hello my dearest Patrons,

I'm happy to ask for your opinion regarding the placement of certain icons on the worldmap. A few days ago, I had a huge doubt and, after talking to some of the Patrons on the Discord, I realised that it would be better to officially ask everyone's opinion via a small poll.

This survey is about how to place the height restriction icon on the world map. The height restriction icon allows you to visualise the location of an obstacle.

By "obstacle", I mean road infrastructure whose height does not allow oversized loads (e.g. yachts) to pass. Ordinary cargoes can pass without any problems.

There are two possible options:

• OPTION A = the icon is placed at the obstacle
  Advantage → the location of the obstacle is clearly visible on the world map
  Disadvantage → the obstacle is not visible on the GPS until the last moment and it is sometimes impossible to turn back
  
• OPTION B = the icon is placed at the beginning of the road section where there is an obstacle
  Advantage → clearly visible on the GPS and allows you to change your route before taking the road where the obstacle is located
  Inconvénient → the exact location of the obstacle is not visible, which can be annoying if there are several obstacles on the same road

I would also like to point out that you will always have at least the height restriction sign at the beginning of the road and sometimes even a gantry as was suggested and realised at Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel:

Finally, you should know that placing the icon at the beginning of the route AND at the obstacle is not an option because, for me, it would be very confusing!

Où préférez-vous avoir l'icône sur la carte du monde ?

Bonjour mes très chers Patrons,

Je suis ravi de solliciter votre avis concernant l'emplacement de certaines icônes sur la worldmap. Il y a quelque jours, j'ai été pris d'un énorme doute et, après avoir discuter avec certains Patrons sur le Discord, je me suis rendu compte qu'il valait mieux demander officiellement l'avis de tous via un petit sondage.

Ce sondage concerne donc la façon de placer l'icône de restriction d'hauteur sur la carte du monde. En effet, cette dernière vous permet de visualiser l'emplacement d'un obstacle.

Je précise que par "obstacle", j'entends les infrastructures routières dont la hauteur ne permet pas le passage de chargements exceptionnels (comme par exemple le yacht). Les cargaisons lambdas passent sans soucis.

Deux options sont possibles :

• OPTION A = l’icône est placée au niveau de l'obstacle.
  Avantages → l'emplacement de l'obstacle est clairement visible sur la carte du monde
  Inconvénient → l'obstacle est visible qu'au dernier moment sur le GPS et il est parfois impossible de faire demi-tour
  
• OPTION B = l'icône est placée au début de la portion de route où se trouve un obstacle.
  Avantages → clairement visible sur le GPS et permet de changer son itinéraire avant d'emprunter la route où se trouve l'obstacle
  Inconvénient → l'emplacement exact de l'obstacle n'est pas visible, ce qui peut être embêtant s'il y a plusieurs obstacles sur une même routes

Aussi, je précise que, en jeu, vous aurez toujours au moins le panneau de restriction d'hauteur au début de la route et parfois même un portique comme cela a été suggéré et réalisé au niveau de Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel :

Enfin, sachez que le placement de l’icône au début de la route ET au niveau de l'obstacle n'est pas une option car, pour moi, cela prêterait énormément à confusions !
