You’ve mastered the art of slipping into the background, hiding behind the seductive smiles and laughter of your older sisters in order to escape the emotions and thoughts you can sense in others.
But this year, there’s a problem. One who prevents you from going unnoticed: Him.
You’re not sure when or how it started but Bastian, the elusive high lord of the Court of Secrets has set his sights on you. His attention is unwavering—and terrifying. His teasing, his wicked charm, the way he makes you feel things you don’t want to feel, it all leaves you unsettled.

I have not read ACOTAR yet (it's on my Amazon reading list that I just tallied over 300 titles that I have saved to download at a later date) but based on this audio alone, it's going up on the priority order. So, even though I haven't read ACOTAR, I have read countless storylines that involve fated mates/mate bond. The way that Mr. Robinson personified this...did something to my soul. The character transition from an arrogant suitor to emotionally vulnerable when the bond snaps was breathtaking. As for the SFX, 14:08-14:32...*heavy sigh* any time I read about the mate bond and how mates can feel and or hear their mate through the bond - this is what I imagine it sounding like. The first time I heard that segment, I found myself panting and in kind of a daze. Then the sound of the bond snapping into place, and then Mr. Robinson's subsequent reaction...there aren't words. This audio has done something to my brain. I can't put into words what it is, but the impact it had on me was profound.

I've had an idea for a minute now (listener) is torn between 2 vampires and have been for awhile going back and forth between the two. And eventually the vampires (in my head it's been Gallo & Emmerson) ask/tell the listener to choose between them. The aonly way the listener can is if she has them both at once (setting up an epic MM4F. They both feed on her at once before she's completely drained they make her make a choice and that's the vampire she'll be with... forever. They (whoever she chooses) makes her an immortal (something the listener has wanted since she met the 1st vampire but he refused and then the 2nd refused but here it's turn her or she'll die a human death) so "the winner" turns her into a vampire and they go onto live a 1001 lifetimes together. There could be a narrator if you want there's a quote from the movie "Original Sin" ... "This isn't a love story, but a story about love..." that's my motivation behind this idea and the whole story. It could go on past the turning showing how her maker shows her how to adjust to life as a newborn vampire. All of the advantages and disadvantages of her new form. He's a supportive partner and takes things atvher pace. She keeps a diary of her feelings and ponders if she chose right and wonders if the outcome would have been different if she had chose the other. She has a dream/nightmare of what the other is really like and it's not the man she had met at all; if she had chosen him it would have been multiple lifetimes of servitude as he has a secret harem he keeps to play with fulfilling all his desires upon his command. Where as her vampire mate only has her and her alone. The listener wakes up screaming and is comforted by her mate and there is the most beautiful passionate of love making scenes and she's finally sure she's made the right choice.
