Weekly progress report #82

Devil lives in the heart of a bored princess.

Hello! Time for another progress report. Sorry for skipping the text post, I was really busy yesterday. Just to get the important stuff out of the way, the last demo is about 50% finished, so chances are I won't be terribly late with it this time. We'll see. I'm cautiously optimistic. Also, I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow, and they said it might be a little difficult to work after this procedure (especially since normal anesthesia isn't applicable for me). Is it correct? Do tell, please, if you had this experience before.

So. About the story. There are some heavy spoilers below, so keep that in mind.

In the last part of v0.13 both routes are going to be linked together. Because if you're in the slums, you'll get a chance to escape pretty much every single day, and after that you'll end up in the city, and will have to deal with the consequences of your choices. As some of you know, the first chance to run away you'll get with Kushari: she can save either both Blake, and Iris or just Blake (and in this latter option you can choose to stay, and wait. Kushari will understand). If you won't do anything, you will eventually be saved by Vanessa, and if you're on her route, that's the best outcome (in her mind). Just stay put, don't try to play a hero, don't do stupid things (any more than you've already done), just wait for mama Vee to save your ass. Aside from that, you can actually help Iris free herself from the pens, and escape together or… Well, that last one I'll keep in secret. The important part is that Blake will sometimes get advice on what to do from Ambrosia, but not too often. You'll have to guide Blake really well, as the situation heats up. The important part is that Iris (and Blake for that matter) will be fine regardless, but you'll have to live with whatever you've done (or didn't do). After Blake escapes, he gets to the city, where he'll get a major ass whooping from Melinda. Again, you'll get some hints on that, but it might be a smart idea to throw Iris under the bus in front of Melinda, and then later (when you'll have to deal with Vanessa) do the opposite, and try to take the blame. Remember: Melinda, Vanessa, and Iris are all route characters, and if you want to keep Blake around them, you'll get to make some tough decisions. And it's not like Samuel, Liam or Suya will take lightly Blake's stunt either. Bree on the other hand probably won't even notice. Oh, and by the way, as of now Pepper is winning the «leave the slums» poll, but Jasmine is just one vote behind. If you haven't voted yet, you really should!

So, that's about it. Sorry for a wall of clumsy text, there's a lot of information, and I had to put it as short as possible. Point is, v0.13 is technically going to be shorter than v0.12, but much, much thicker. And v0.14 (I'm afraid to plan things so far in the future, but…) will give Blake a lot of fun stuff to get busy with as a compensation for all the troubles he had to go through. Something for you both to look forward to, huh?

Anyway, thanks for your time, and have a nice day!

Comments

It's so hard to choose between Jasmine and Pepper. Jasmine *really* needs the help, but Pepper is so nice, she really deserves better. And she's really hot.
